Google Map has launched facilities equipped with AI features.

New Delhi. You must have read and heard such stories from Google Map, where someone’s car got stuck in a drain due to wrong information and someone jumped off the flyover with the car. In some accidents, there was loss of life and property, but the company has now found a solution. Google has announced major changes in its digital map platform ‘Google Maps’, saying that now this service will make more use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help people plan where to go and tell them the best way to reach there.

Under this change operated by Google’s ‘Gemini’ technology, two new AI based features will be added to Maps. This feature will provide people with more accurate and correct information about their route. Currently, more than 200 crore people around the world use this service. The company said that Gemini’s suggestions will be based on a database of more than 30 crore locations and review of more than 50 crore contributors.

Information from mobile recharge shop to cafe
The first of the two features introduced by Google is ‘Ask Maps’, which will give suggestions to users in a conversational style. Through this, users will be able to ask for information like nearest mobile charging point, less crowded café or detailed itinerary for a road trip with multiple stops. The ‘Ask Maps’ feature will initially be available on Google Maps’ mobile app for iPhone and Android users in the US and India. Later it will be launched on computers and in other countries also.

Driver will see the route in 3D
The second new feature is ‘Immersive Navigation’, which Google has described as the biggest change in driving directions in Maps so far. This feature will give the user a better understanding of the route through a three-dimensional i.e. 3D view. In this, major buildings, dividers built in the middle of the road and the surrounding terrain will also be visible in the 3D view prepared by Gemini, which will make it easier for the drivers to understand the route. This means that now like before, the driver will not be confused about the route and he will be able to know about the obstacles in a better way.

You will also know the advantages and disadvantages of each path.
This feature will also tell you the advantages and disadvantages of different routes to reach the same destination. Apart from this, after reaching the destination, it will also be able to provide information about better parking places. Google said that its AI security framework has become so strong that Gemini technology will now be able to avoid problems like showing wrong or non-existent location. The new AI-based guidance feature will currently be available in the Google Maps mobile app in the US and in vehicles equipped with CarPlay and Android Auto.
