Binny has been selected for his contributions to Indian cricket as a player, coach, and administrator. A member of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning squad, the 70-year-old represented India 99 times as a player before serving as the coach of the U-19 team (winning the 2000 U-19 World Cup) and as national selector between 2012 and 2016. Most recently, Binny served as President of the BCCI from 2022 to 2025, a period in which Indian cricket found significant growth.
Dravid, meanwhile, scored over 24,000 runs in a storied international career, captaining India as well, before moving to a variety of backroom roles after retirement. He served as Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and helped guide India to the 2018 U-19 World Cup title as well. After taking over the role of coach of the senior team, he led the team to victory at the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Raj will be commemorated for her exceptional contributions to the women’s game. She scored over 10,00 runs international runs for India, and is the leading run-scorer of all-time in ODIs (7805 runs at 50.68). Under her leadership, India also reached two World Cup finals, and continued establishing itself as a dominant force in the game.
Outstanding performances across international, domestic and age-group cricket during the 2024–25 season will also be recognised.
Shubman Gill will receive the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men) for the second time, while Smriti Mandhana will receive the Best International Cricketer (Women) award for the fifth time in her career.
Shafali Varma (Best Woman Cricketer (Senior Domestic One-Day)), Ira Jadhav (Best Woman Cricketer (Domestic)) Harsh Dubey (Best All Rounder in the Ranji Trophy), and Ayush Mhatre (Best All Rounder in Domestic Limited Overs Competitions) will all receive recognition for their strong performances across the 2024-25 domestic season.
All five of India’s five trophy-winning sides (2025 ICC Champions Trophy, 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup, 2025 U-19 Women’s World Cup, 2026 Men’s World Cup, and 2026 T20 World Cup) will be honoured as well in a historic first for Indian cricket.
