The ICA, a BCCI-recognised body for the welfare of former cricketers, currently has over 1800 members with former India women’s team skipper Shantha Rangaswamy acting as the president and director. The eligibility requires male players to play 10 First-Class matches and women to participate in five.
The ICA Group Health Insurance Scheme give members access to affordable healthcare without barriers. Over 1393 members have benefited, with the cumulative premiums rising to INR 84.24 lakh. The organisation has also distributed INR 73.8 lakh to members facing sudden medical or financial crisis.

The association’s annual health check-up program has helped over 1875 members and their families, with over INR 19.9 lakh spent on preventive healthcare. Senior members, who do not receive any grants from the BCCI, have received INR 1.87 crore in financial assistance.
Spouses of deceased members also receive a one-time assistance. Over 41 spouses have benefited from the scheme in FY 2025-26.
