Hero Destini 110 Review: Destiny 110 was launched in the Indian market late last year. Since then till now it has maintained a good hold in the market. Within 6 months of its launch, Destiny 110 has become a trusted name on Indian roads. We drove this scooter for about 300 kilometers in the last 10 days, which mainly included running around the office and running errands in the market in the evening.

Our experience during this period was quite practical. This scooter has been designed for those who give priority to strength and comfort over frills. With its metal body and classic look, it seems to be emerging as a mature option in the 110cc segment, which can meet the daily needs very well without any complaints. Design and features

The design of Hero Destiny 110 makes it different from the crowd, as it uses metal body instead of plastic, which not only gives it a premium look but also gives a feeling of strength. The chrome work on its front gives it a classy appeal. Talking about the features, Hero’s patented ‘i3S’ technology is most special in it.

It automatically stops the engine when it stops at a traffic signal and starts it as soon as the throttle is applied. Apart from this, it has the facility of external fuel filling, so that you do not need to get down from the seat while filling petrol. Its digital-analogue console is quite clean, in which important information like side stand indicator and service reminder are easily visible.

Engine Performance and Specifications

This scooter has a 110.9 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This powertrain produces about 9 bhp power and 10.4 Nm torque. While driving, we felt that its pickup is quite agile in terms of city traffic. Although this is not a racing scooter, but it runs very smooth at a speed of 40 to 60 km/hr.

The refinement of the engine is good and it does not get too hot even when driven for a long time. However, the weather is also fine right now. During summer testing, engine heating can be estimated better. Hero has provided Fuel Injection (FI) system in it, due to which there is no problem in initial start and the response of the engine remains quite balanced.

Riding Experience and Comfort

The best thing about the 300 kilometer journey was its ride quality. Its seat is quite wide and long, which is very comfortable for both the rider and the pillion. When you are tired while returning from office, its telescopic front suspension and rear hydraulic damper easily absorb small bumps on the road.

Its handling is very light, which makes it very easy to maneuver through narrow streets and heavy traffic. However, in terms of braking, it has drum brakes which are safe, but if you are at very high speed then you have to plan to apply the brakes a little earlier. The company has offered disc brakes at the front. Let us tell you that the company sells it at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹ 72,000.

Mileage and everyday utility

In terms of mileage, the Destiny 110 did not disappoint us. Despite the city congestion and frequent stops and starts, it has given an average mileage of around 45 km/litre. The i3S system has definitely helped in saving petrol. There is ample under-seat storage which can easily accommodate a half-face helmet or an office bag.

Besides, a small mobile charging port and boot light are also provided at the front, which proves to be quite useful at night. Overall, its maintenance costs are quite low and Hero’s service network makes it a safe investment.

Hero Destiny 110 is a scooter that focuses more on function than looks. If your priority is a strong body, excellent mileage and comfortable riding, then this is a perfect choice for office goers and small families.

It may be a little less appealing to those who are looking for a very sporty look or high-tech features (like Bluetooth navigation). However, its metal body and reliable engine keep it at the top of the list of ‘value for money’ scooters in the 110cc segment.
