KKR names Rinku Singh as vice-captain for IPL 2026


Kokata Knight Riders has named Rinku Singh as its vice-captain for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season.

The announcement was made by KKR managing director Venky Mysore during a pre-season event on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old will act as deputy to Ajinkya Rahane and will replace Venkatesh Iyer in the role after Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought him for Rs. 7 crore ahead of the season.

Rinku, who is fresh off winning the T20 World Cup 2026, has played for KKR since the 2018 campaign. He has played 59 matches for the side, scoring 1,099 runs at an average of 30.53.
