IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians set to become first franchise to play 300 T20 matches

Mumbai Indians is set to become the first franchise team to play 300 T20 matches when it takes on Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2026 match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

The five-team IPL champion, Mumbai will only be the third team ever to play 300 or more T20 matches after Pakistan and Somerset, who have played 303 each.

Among the IPL teams, MI is followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who has played 287, and KKR with 281 matches.

Mumbai has played 277 matches in 18 seasons of the IPL and 22 in the Champions League T20, stretched across five seasons.
