Now no need to scroll long chats, you will get short gist

WhatsApp is constantly working on new features to improve the experience of its users. Now the company is testing a smart feature that will make reading busy chats very easy. The name of this new feature is ‘Unread Summary’, which will be especially beneficial for those users who are active in many groups and long chats.

With the help of this feature, users will be able to see the summary of multiple unread chats simultaneously. This means that now there will be no need to open every chat and read every message. Users will get a concise and clear overview, allowing them to quickly understand what happened in the conversation. This feature will help in saving time as well as understanding important information quickly.

To make this feature secure, WhatsApp is using a technology called ‘Private Processing’. Under this, only new messages will be processed and the summary will be prepared in a secure environment.

The special thing is that neither WhatsApp nor its parent company Meta will be able to access this data. With this, the privacy of the users will be completely protected.

Will be able to switch on-off whenever you want
WhatsApp has kept this feature completely optional. It will be off by default and users will have to turn it on themselves by going to Settings. Additionally, users will also be able to decide which chats they want to see the summary of. In this way users will get complete control over their data.

Currently this feature is being tested in Android beta version and is not available for all users yet. It is expected that after the completion of testing, it will be rolled out gradually. In the coming time, this feature can make chat management even easier.
