Rajasthan fast bowler Ashok Sharma made his debut today for Gujarat Titans in its game against the Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in Mullanpur.

Ashok was bought by GT for Rs. 90 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction. The 23-year-old is another player from the domestic circuit who was tipped to attract interest in the auction after a strong showing in the 2025-26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He finished the tournament with 22 wickets from ten matches, setting the record for the highest number of wickets taking during a single SMAT edition.

Ashok was previously a net bowler for the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals. He has the ability to consistently bowl at over 150 kmphs and calls himself a ‘hard lengths bowler.
