The opening of regional transport offices in all the 13 revenue districts of Delhi will not only speed up government work, but the common man will not have to travel long distances and will get the facility to handle important work near his home.

Now under the new system there will be RTOs in all 13 districts of Delhi.
New Delhi. Due to promotion of digital services after the Corona period, many Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) which were closed in the national capital will now be reopened. Delhi Transport Department has decided to open an RTO in every district of the city. A total of 13 RTO offices will be reopened, which will work as per the new district structure. This decision has brought great relief to lakhs of vehicle owners and drivers of the capital. With this, now DL-13 vehicle registration series will also be restarted in Delhi and DL-14 will be discontinued.
At present only four RTOs are operational in Mall Road, Sarai Kale Khan, Mayur Vihar and Dwarka. The Transport Department had made almost 90% of its services online. This includes work like learning license, DL renewal, duplicate license and vehicle transfer. But there are many services for which physical verification or submission of documents is necessary. In such a situation, due to there being only four RTOs, people were facing a lot of problems.
New RTO offices will open at these places
- Mall Road: Old Delhi District
- Jam Nagar House: New Delhi District
- Lado Sarai: South Delhi
- Hari Nagar: West Delhi
- Loni: North-East Delhi
- Sarai Kale Khan: South-East Delhi
- Mayur Vihar: East Delhi
- Wazirpur: Central North
- Dwarka: South-West Delhi
- Raja Garden: Central Delhi
- Rohini-1: Outer North
- Burari: North Delhi
- Rohini-2: North West
- What will be the benefit?
What will be the benefit?
The opening of regional transport offices in all the 13 revenue districts of Delhi will not only speed up government work, but the common man will not have to travel long distances and will get the facility to handle important work near his home. Currently, due to there being only four RTOs, people have to wander a lot. For example, if a person lives in a remote area like Rohini or Loni and has to get a physical verification done at the RTO, then he will have to travel a long distance.
Now under the new system, there will be a dedicated RTO office in all the 13 districts of Delhi. Its biggest advantage is that the common citizen will no longer have to travel long distances for work related to his vehicle. The RTO of your district will be near your home, which will save both time and money.
Apart from this, sometimes there are technical glitches or problems in matching the documents and people are not able to complete their work online. Because there was no help center near them. Now these 13 RTO offices will work as a ‘help centre’. If your work gets stuck online or you are called to submit documents, you will get the solution at your local district RTO instead of going to the other end of the city.
You will get relief from the crowd
Since only four RTOs are operational at present, there is a lot of crowd there. When work is distributed among 13 different centers in Delhi, then naturally the pressure on the existing centers will reduce. Transparency will also increase due to less crowd.
