Bharti Airtel has increased the price of a popular prepaid recharge plan. Earlier its price was Rs 859, which has now been reduced to Rs 899. Apart from this, now the company has discontinued the plan of Rs 799.

Airtel secretly made its popular plan expensive
Till now Airtel had a popular plan of Rs 859 with a validity of 84 days. But now its price has been increased to Rs 899. The company has discontinued the Rs 799 plan with validity of 74 days.
What has changed in the plan?
Now Airtel’s Rs 899 ‘Truly Unlimited’ plan gives 84 days validity to the users. It offers 1.5 GB data per day, unlimited calling (local, STD and roaming) and 100 SMS every day. After the data is exhausted, the internet speed reduces to 64 Kbps.
- Unlimited calls (Local, STD, Roaming all)
- 100 SMS daily
- 1.5GB data daily (up to 84 days)
- Speed limited to 64 Kbps after data is exhausted
- Validity: 84 days (about 3 months)
- Adobe Express Premium (12 months)
- Spam call and SMS alerts
- Free Hellotunes (Can change one tune every 30 days.)
What was available earlier, what is missing now?
Earlier, the Rs 859 plan also offered some extra benefits, like RewardsMini subscription, which provided cashback of up to Rs 80 every month. But currently this benefit is not visible in the new Rs 899 plan. However, features like Adobe Express Premium (12 months), spam call alert and free Hellotune are still available.
What does it mean for users?
After this change, if a user wants to take a daily data plan of 84 days, now the entry level price has become Rs 899, that is, the options with longer validity at lower prices have become more expensive than before.
