Do the rest while watching the video! YouTube PiP feature goes global

If you want to do other things simultaneously while watching videos on YouTube, then there is good news for you. YouTube has now started rolling out its Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature for users around the world. Earlier this feature was available only for premium users outside America, but now it will gradually reach all users in the coming months.

With the help of PiP feature, you can play the video in a small floating window. This means that the video will continue to play even after you close or minimize the YouTube app. With this you can message, browse or use any other app simultaneously. This feature is especially useful for multitasking.

After the new update, now non-premium users will also be able to take advantage of this feature, but there is a small condition. Non-premium users will get this facility only for non-music and long videos (long-form content). Whereas premium members will get full access to PiP feature on music and all other videos.

Using this feature is also very easy. When you’re watching a video, simply press the Home button or swipe the screen up. The video will automatically change to a small player and continue playing on the screen. You can move this small player anywhere on the screen.

change settings
If for some reason the PiP feature is not working, you may have to go to your phone’s settings and turn it on. Android users can turn it on by going to Settings > Apps > YouTube > Advanced > Picture-in-Picture. At the same time, if you want to turn it off, you can turn it off by going to the settings of the YouTube app.

This new update of YouTube is going to further improve the user experience. Now it has become easier to do other work while watching videos, which will also increase your productivity.
