SRH vs KKR, IPL 2026: Narine becomes first overseas bowler to take 200 IPL wickets

West Indian Sunil Narine becomes the first overseas bowler to take 200 IPL wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, May 3.

Narine, one of the all time IPL greats who has plied his trade for Kolkata Knight Riders since 2012, also became just the third bowler to take 200 or more wickets in the IPL, after Yuzvendra Chahal (228 wickets) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (215 wickets).

The 37-year-old registered figures of 2/31 from his four overs against SRH. The mystery spinner got the important wicket of Ishan Kishan to apply the brakes on SRH’s batting after Travis Head gave them a flying start in the first ten overs.
