Spy shots revealed during testing in California have indicated major changes in its design and interior. Know what is going to be special in the new Creta.

Hyundai Creta is going to change a lot.
Hyundai is working on the third generation (codenamed SX3) of its popular mid-size SUV Creta, which is expected to be launched in late 2026 or early 2027. Recently, its spy shots have surfaced from California, in which the new dashboard, Pleos Connect infotainment system and many other major changes are visible. With these updates, Creta will not only be ahead in technology but will also maintain its dominance in the segment in terms of design, performance and features.
The Pleos Connect system is part of Hyundai’s Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform. This will prepare the Creta for the future, where the engine, suspension and features can also be upgraded through OTA updates. This system is likely to come first in the new Creta in India. The current Creta remains the top selling car in the segment and its dominance is going to get stronger with the new updates. Let’s take a look at the possible details.
Design and interior
New gen Creta will be of big size. It will be provided with large 19-inch alloy wheels, which will give it a more aggressive and premium look. The exterior will see pixel-style LED lights, new 4-dot Hyundai logo, taller hood line with high and upright front fascia. The presence of dual front radar will strengthen the Level 2+ ADAS features.
The interior is going to be completely refreshed. The central console looks cleaner and modern. The gear selector will now come in shift-by-wire stock form on the steering column, providing more storage space under the center console. Flush-fitted air vents and immersive ambient lighting will give a premium feel to the cabin.
Features and safety
The biggest highlight is the new Pleos Connect infotainment system. Infotainment, instrumentation and connectivity functions are integrated on the large central touchscreen. It will have support for Gleo AI Assistant, modular app market, split screen and OTA updates. There will be a compact display in front of the driver. Buttons have been provided on the steering wheel, which will reduce dependence on the touchscreen.
It is expected to significantly improve ADAS features with dual-front radar. Multi-link rear suspension will provide better handling and ride quality. AWD option may also be available in top variants. Apart from this, the existing safety features will continue.
Engine and Mileage
Along with petrol and diesel, hybrid variants will also be offered. The hybrid model will get better energy management through ‘Smart Regenerative’ braking and Pleos OS, which will especially improve the mileage in city driving. New suspension and software updates will further enhance the performance. Overall, the new Hyundai Creta is bringing a perfect combination of technology, comfort and performance.
