If your children or you too have got into the habit of watching shorts, then this problem can be solved with a great trick. Because you don’t even realize when the hours go by in a short time. To save this time, we are going to know about a special setting.

You can set the limit for watching shorts to zero: As soon as you open YouTube, shorts also appear along with other videos. Once you tap on the shorts, you don’t realize when the next 5-10 minutes will pass. There is a “Show fewer Shorts” button on the YouTube app, but it works only for 30 days.

In such a situation, shorts keep coming in your feed again and again. In October last year, the company had added the option of time limit, in which the time was set at least 15 minutes.

Now the company has changed this setting and given the option to reduce the time limit to zero. That means after setting the time limit to zero, shorts will not go.

How to set time limit to zero?: Open YouTube and tap on the profile icon. Now go to the time management dashboard by tapping on the gear icon. Here a toggle for short feed limit will be visible in the daily limit. After tapping on this, the option of time limit will appear in front of you. Set zero minutes in it.

After this, close the app completely and open it again. Currently this feature is available only for YouTube mobile app. It has not yet been rolled out on desktop and TV apps and no planning of the company has been revealed yet in this regard.

Control comes to parents: With the help of this feature, parents can set the time limit of shorts on their children’s teen account to zero. This setting can’t be changed for teen accounts managed through Google Family Link or YouTube Family Center. This means that parents will get more control and children will not be able to change these settings of their account themselves.
