HCA announces open trials, reveals five players picked for UK exposure tour

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has announced open trials for senior men ahead of the 2026-27 season. The trials are open to players who are not registered in the ongoing HCA league season.

Registrations will open at 11 a.m. on May 18 and close at 11:59 p.m. on May 20. HCA stated that registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a cap of 5,000 applicants during the registration window.

The first 3000 eligible applicants will be shortlisted for the Phase-I trials, scheduled to begin on May 21 at the Gymkhana Ground. The remaining applicants will be considered for Phase-II trials, the details of which will be announced later.

Five picked for UK tour

Five promising youngsters from the HCA have been selected for the Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy (DVCA) UK Tour and Cricket Exposure Programme.

The Junior Selection Committee, headed by Akash Bhandari, announced that Nipun Reddy, Uzair Ahmed, Aditya Vardhan, P. Prince and Ayush Malhotra will tour England from July 11 to 26.

During that period, they are expected to play 12 matches with the DVCA team — six 45-over games and six T20 matches — at various venues across the country.
