Why is Riyan Parag not playing in Rajasthan Royals vs Lucknow Super Giants match?

Riyan Parag missed Rajasthan Royals’ encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Tuesday due to injury.

Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal donned the hat of the skipper in his absence. He had earlier deputised for Riyan during the contest against Gujarat Titans.

During the toss, which Jaiswal won before opting to bowl first, the standby captain said that Riyan was carrying a hamstring injury which forced him to sit out of the game.

RR needs two wins from its remaining two games to seal qualification to the IPL 2026 Playoffs.
