Ravindra Jadeja was forced to retire hurt in Rajasthan Royals’ IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 match against Gujarat Titans in New Chandigarh on May 29.

Jadeja left the field ahead of the ninth over of the innings after receiving treatment in the previous over. He had been promoted to the number four position, and had scored 34 from 19 balls when he left the field.

Jadeja’s fitness has been a point of concern for Rajasthan Royals earlier in the season, with the 37-year-old missing out on matches earlier in the season with an elbow injury.

Harsha Bhogle on commentary during the match revealed that Jadeja had suffered a tennis elbow injury. However, the all-rounder returned to bat, with his left elbow heavily strapped, after the fall of Jofra Archer, RR’s fifth wicket.
