Harmanpreet Kaur becomes second Indian after Smriti Mandhana to score 4000 runs in women’s T20Is

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the second Indian to reach 4000 runs in women’s T20Is during the second match against England in Bristol on Saturday.

She just needed nine runs to reach the feat and she did so with a risky two during the 15th over of India’s 169-run chase.

Harmanpreet joins her deputy Smriti Mandhana in the list, and becomes only the third player overall to breach this mark. Suzie Bates of New Zealand is the other player on this exclusive list.

The 37-year-old has now played 196 matches in the T20Is, scoring 16 half-centuries and a solitary ton.
