Former Australian fast-bowler Shaun Tait has stepped down from his role as the bowling coach of the Bangladesh men’s cricket team, the Bangadesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced in a post on social media on Thursday.
In the post, the BCB thanked Tait for his contributions and wished him the best for all future endeavors. The decision comes ahead of the team’s three match ODI series against Australia at home starting on June 9 in Dhaka.
Tait joined the Bangladesh coaching staff in May 2025 and was supposed to stay with the national team till November 2027. However, personal reasons cut short his commitment by over a year.
