It marked Sooryavanshi’s India A debut, another significant milestone in a rise that has been nothing short of extraordinary.
The teenager first captured global attention in IPL 2025 when he smashed a 38-ball 101 for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans, becoming the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket.
He has only built on that promise since. In IPL 2026, Sooryavanshi amassed 776 runs at a staggering strike rate of 237.30, playing a pivotal role in Rajasthan Royals’ run to the playoffs. Those performances earned him a maiden India call-up for the T20I series in Ireland and England, as well as a place in the squad for the men’s cricket competition at the Asian Games.
Now, with Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A providing the opposition in Dambulla, Sooryavanshi has another opportunity to showcase his talent on a bigger stage.
