There was a delay in deciding whether India A and Sri Lanka A match will go into a Super Over after the Tri Nation A Series match was tied in Dambulla on Monday.
After a nearly 10-minute discussion with the umpires, it was decided that the match will continue to decide the winner of the contest.
Indian camp, led by captain Tilak Varma, seemed convinced to play the Super Over. Umpires weren’t sure whether the match would be able to continue as there won’t be enough light to play.
The match was tied when Sri Lanka A needed five runs off the last over, bowled by Arshad Khan, which came down to two runs off the final ball. A run out off the last delivery resulted in a tie.
