Here’s when Apple is starting mass production of the iPhone Ultra

Recently there’s been some controversy about the iPhone Ultra‘s release window, with a report claiming it was delayed, which was then immediately refuted by another source, and then another one.

Today we get one more ‘confirmation’ that the iPhone Ultra will be unveiled as scheduled, in September, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The issues relating to the hinge have allegedly been resolved, and the mass production of the iPhone Ultra will be starting in late July. This information comes from a report in Korean media, purportedly originating from “Apple supply chain officials” in both Korea and Taiwan.

The same sources claim Apple has finalized “key specifications” for the iPhone Ultra, including the display, case, and “mechanical components”, and the phone is now in the preparation phase for mass production. Foxconn will handle the production of the initial batch. First-round trial production was conducted in April.

It’s still unclear whether the iPhone Ultra will be released at the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but it’s looking more and more likely that it will at least be announced at the same event in September.
