Apache number-1, Pulsar number-2! See the complete sales report of 150-200 cc segment

The demand for motorcycles in the 150cc to 200cc segment is continuously increasing in the Indian auto market. According to the sales report of May 2026, this segment has registered an impressive growth of 24.62% on an annual basis. While a total of 1,54,536 bikes were sold last year in May 2025, this figure has increased to 1,92,576 units in May 2026. Due to the increasing craze of performance and style among the youth, companies are getting huge benefits.

According to the data revealed, big companies like TVS and Bajaj have maintained their strong dominance on the market of this segment. Along with this, Yamaha and Honda have also strengthened their stake. Let’s take a look at the model-wise sales report of motorcycles within the 150-200 cc segment.

1. TVS Apache

Apache remains at the first position in this segment. In May 2026, the company sold a total of 53,900 units of Apache, whereas in May 2025 this figure was 49,099 units. In this way Apache has achieved an annual growth of 9.78%. The share of this bike in the total market has been recorded highest at 27.99%.

2. Bajaj Pulsar

Pulsar has gained tremendous momentum this month and has strengthened its hold on the second position. A total of 49,994 units of Pulsar were sold in May 2026, which is 11,685 units more than 38,309 units in May 2025. Pulsar has registered an excellent annual growth of 30.50% and its market share was 25.96%.

3. Honda Unicorn

Unicorn occupies the third position on the basis of its reliability. Its 34,925 units were sold in May 2026, whereas in the same month last year this figure was 28,616 units. Unicorn has registered an annual growth of 22.05%. At present, Honda Unicorn’s share in the total market share of 150-200 cc segment is 18.14%.

4. Yamaha FZ

Yamaha FZ is at fourth position in the list. A total of 14,862 units of this bike were sold in May 2026, whereas in May 2025 its sales were 12,979 units. Yamaha FZ has achieved an annual growth of 14.51% this year. This month its share in the total market of this segment has been seen at 7.72%.

5. Yamaha R15

Yamaha R15 has made the biggest jump in its sales and has made a place in the top-5. 9,803 units of R15 have been sold in May 2026, which is 63.47% more than 5,997 units in May 2025. With this impressive annual growth, the market share of this racing bike currently stands at 5.09%.

Apart from the top-5 motorcycles of the segment, last month 9579 units of Yamaha MT15, 6587 units of Yamaha XSR, 4235 units of Honda SP 160, 3305 units of KTM 160/200, 2579 units of Hero Xpulse 200, 1054 units of Suzuki Gixxer, 951 units of Hero Xtreme 160, Honda CB200X 413 units and only 389 units of Honda Hornet 2.0 have been sold. Apart from this, Bajaj Avenger and Kawasaki W175 have not found any takers.
