Although Apple has not said anything officially yet, but recently the company has increased the prices of many MacBook and iPad models. After this, it is now believed that the next number could be of iPhone 18 Pro series. If this happens then it could be a much more expensive launch than last year.
According to the latest reports, the starting price of iPhone 18 Pro in America can be between $1,249 to $1,299. In comparison, iPhone 17 Pro was launched at a starting price of $1,099.
Whereas the starting price of iPhone 18 Pro Max can go from $1,349 to $1,399. If this estimate proves correct then it will be the most expensive Pro Max model till date.
The biggest reason for the increase in price is considered to be the increasing cost of essential components of the smartphone. According to reports, RAM and storage chips have become more expensive than before. Apart from this, iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to have 12GB RAM and the new A20 Pro processor manufactured on TSMC’s 2nm process. Due to these upgrades, manufacturing cost may increase, the effect of which can be seen on the price.
impact on indian price
If prices increase in America, it may affect the Indian market also. Last year, iPhone 17 Pro was launched in India at a starting price of ₹ 1,34,900 and iPhone 17 Pro Max at ₹ 1,49,900.
According to current estimates, the price of iPhone 18 Pro may go above ₹ 1.45 lakh, while the starting price of Pro Max may cross the ₹ 1.60 lakh mark. However, the final price will depend on Apple’s India strategy, taxes and dollar-rupee exchange rate.
Interestingly, analysts believe that despite the price increase, there will be no major decline in demand for Pro models. The reasons for this are said to be Apple Intelligence, new Siri features and easy EMI options, which are making buying premium smartphones easier than before.
At present, all this information is based on leaks and analysts’ estimates. Apple will officially announce the price and all the features with the iPhone 18 series in its launch event to be held in September.
