“The thing is, we are playing a team sport, luckily or unluckily. I think I prepared really well. But it was very disappointing that I was not getting my chances. Now, ahead of the new season, the left-arm spinner is leaving no stone unturned to get back amongst the reckoning. He will be part of the targeted spinners’ camp to be held at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence from July 10 to 17 after missing out on it last year.
“I think we always have to improve our game. I’m working closely with R. Ramkumar on my technique and building my volume. I’m very honest with myself. If I really deserve something, it has to come to me. So I have that faith in god,” he added.
On his interaction with TN’s new head coach Yo Mahesh, Sai Kishore said, “He’s a very vibrant guy. I played with him in First Class in my debut season. I am looking forward to working with him. I think it’s very inspiring that the U-23 team did the double last year. If the senior team does well, together we will all rise,” said Sai Kishore.
