Indians in County Championship: Ashutosh Sharma picks three wickets, Chahal takes two

Ashutosh Sharma displayed his bowling skills after an underwhelming performance with the bat in Hampshire’s 50-run win over Yorkshire in Scarborough on Tuesday.

Defending a 320-run target, Ashutosh turned up with the ball, picking three wickets in nine overs while giving away just 48 runs. He also bowled a maiden over.

Hampshire bowled out Yorkshire for 270 in 47 overs.

In the first innings, however, Ashutosh could only manage 10 runs off nine balls. He hit one six.

Meanwhile in the match between Northamptonshire and Warwickshire, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had a decent outing with the ball.

Chahal bowled 10 overs and picked two wickets while conceding 52 runs for Northants, who kept Warwickshire for 312 for nine in the first innings.

Northamptonshire chased down the target with more than an over to spare with five wickets in hand.
