Women’s Asia Cup likely to be held in UAE from August 28 to September 13

The sixth edition of the Women’s Asia Cup will be held in the UAE from August 28 to September 13, according to a report from Cricinfo.

As per the report, the participating teams have been told to be prepare for these dates, though there is no official confirmation.

This edition of the Asia Cup will feature eight teams; defending champion Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand and host UAE.

The reported dates place the Asia Cup just before the Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan — where there will be a women’s cricket event running from September 17 to 24.

India has not yet confirmed its squad for the tournament.
