India A will play three four-day matches against New Zealand A ahead of its main-team series in the country later in the year.
The series was confirmed in a release by New Zealand Cricket. “The domestic red ball summer will also get an injection of international class as New Zealand A host India A for three four-day matches in Christchurch starting October 24,” the statement said.

India played a similar A-series in Sri Lanka ahead of its recent tour to the island country, with the likes of Dhruv Jurel, Devdutt Padikkal, Saransh Jain, and Gurnoor Brar all getting match experience ahead of the full-team tour.
India will embark on a three-format tour of New Zealand in November. It will play five T20Is and ODIs ahead of a marquee two-Test series will vital implications for its World Test Championship qualification chances.
