All-rounder Hardik Pandya was named in the India-A white-ball squad for the upcoming series against Australia-A to be held later this month in Pondicherry.
The all-rounder’s participation will be subject to fitness clearance. The tour will feature two multi-day matches and three one-day games.
Pandya has not featured for India since the completion of the IPL 2026 season. He has been recovering from a quadriceps strain sustained during a fitness test at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
The injury forced him to miss the ODI series against Afghanistan and the subsequent limited-overs matches.
Devdutt Padikkal has been named captain for the multi-day series, while Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the white-ball squad.
B. Sai Sudharsan is the designated vice-captain in the multi-format leg, while Padikkal will essay the same role in the one-dayers.
Double IPL-winning captain Rajat Patidar has been named in the squad for the 50-over contests alongside Sudharsan and other upcoming IPL stars.
The multi-day squad sees consistent domestic performers, including Yash Rathod, Aman Mokhade, Shams Mulani and Kumar Kushagra rewarded.
