India batter Pratika Rawal is set to make her T20I debut against Thailand during the team’s Women’s Asia Cup 2026 opener on Sunday.
Ahead of the match, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur presented Pratika with her maiden T20I cap.
Pratika was named in the Asia Cup squad as Jemimah Rodrigues’ replacement after the latter was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.
The Delhi batter made her international debut back in 2024 and instantly impressed at the top of the order alongside Smriti Mandhana. So far in the 50-over format, Pratika has amassed 1189 runs at an average of 47.56 and a strike rate of 82.34.
She was also part of the ODI World Cup-winning squad when India beat South Africa in the final last year.
Pratika has also made her India Test debut, which came earlier this year against Australia.
