Five Indian cricketers featured in the rain-affected 10th round of the County Championship which concluded on Sunday.

In Chelmsford, the contest between Surrey and Essex ended in a draw. On the last day, Mahipal Lomror made 37-ball 11 before being dismissed by Jamie Porter while Rahul Chahar remained unbeaten on 17. Surrey declared its second-innings score on 298 for 8, setting a target of 203 but there was no time for Essex to go for the win.

The match between Sussex and Somerset in Hove also finished in a draw. Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat, who had removed Archie, the son of former England captain Michael Vaughan, on Saturday could not add any more wickets to his tally for Sussex. His side was set a target of 303 with hardly any time left for the chase. Sussex made 62 for the loss of one wicket in 14 overs.

In Chester-le-Street, left-arm spinner R. Sai Kishore didn’t get a chance to bowl on the final day as Durham took just six balls to chase the target of four runs against Gloucestershire.

Same was the case for leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who played for Northamptonshire against Kent in Northampton. In response to Kent’s first-innings total of 345, Northamptonshire declared at 450 for six on the last day.
