Rishabh Pant walked off the field, retired hurt, after getting hit on the wrist during the second Test between India and Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo on Sunday.

Pant missed the pull shot against fast bowler Lahiru Kumara and the ball hit his wrist bone. The wicketkeeper-batter was immediately attended by the physio.
To ease the pain, an ice pack was also applied but Pant continued to be in discomfort. After a brief pause and a checkup, Pant decided to walk back to the pavillion. Ravindra Jadeja replaced him at the crease.
Pant only scored three runs off 15 balls.
India’s score was 207/3 in 57 overs when Pant walked back to the pavillion with Devdutt Padikkal at the crease.
