Shortest Test matches of all-time — Australia vs Bangladesh 2nd Test ranks fourth on the list

Australia crushed Bangladesh by an innings and 51 runs in the second Test at Mackay to tie their two-match series 1-1.

Led by a rampaging Mitchell Starc, a dominant Australia bowled the visitor out for just 64 in 34 overs in the first innings before Shoriful Islam’s seven-wicket haul brought Bangladesh back into the game as it dismissed the Aussies for 210 in 52.3 overs.

However, another expert showing from Starc helped the host skittle its opponent for 95 in 38.3 overs, securing a comprehensive victory.

The Test lasted a collective 750 balls, making it the fourth-shortest Test of all-time and the second-shortest Test played in Australia.

Bangladesh also became the ninth team overall, and the first in 21 years, to be bowled out for 100 in both innings of a Test. The last team to achieve this ignonimous feat was Zimbabwe in 2005, when it was bowled out for 59 and 99 by New Zealand.
