In terms of exterior updates, the new Hector SUV features a redesigned front grille with vertical chrome-finished louvres, branded by MG as the Aura Hex grille. It also has a revised front bumper with a larger central air intake and a silver surround, new 16-inch Aura Bolt dual-tone alloy wheels, and a revised rear bumper. The overall body design remains largely unchanged. Two new exterior colours, Celadon Blue and Pearl White, have been added.

Inside, the Hector gets updated interior colour schemes. The five-seat version features an Ice Grey and black dual-tone interior, while the seven-seat version gets a black and tan cabin. Other interior elements remain unchanged.
The 14-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen continues, but now supports multi-finger swipe gestures. Two-finger horizontal and vertical swipes control climate functions, while three-finger swipes are used for audio and screen brightness. MG has also confirmed an upgrade to the RAM for the infotainment system. The 360-degree camera system has been updated with a new ‘wheel view’ function.

Other features include a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Bluetooth key, automatic headlamps and wipers, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, air purifier with PM 2.5 filter, wireless smartphone connectivity, and an ADAS suite.
Powering the 2026 Hector is the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine as before, producing 143hp and 250Nm, paired with either a manual gearbox or a CVT. The diesel engine option will be introduced next year.
