Bhatti Vikramarka calls upon newly elected sarpanches to become active partners in Telangana’s growth trajectory
Within hours of the release of the Vision 2047 Document, investments worth ₹5.75 lakh crore flowed into the State, he said, adding that large-scale investments will continue to come to Telangana in the future.
He was speaking at a felicitation ceremony of the newly elected sarpanches of Madhira constituency in Madhira town of Khammam district on Tuesday.
He said Telangana has achieved the record of having the highest per capita income in the country.
The Vision 2047 document envisages Telangana’s futuristic growth trajectory with a roadmap for achieving sector-wise ambitious development goals, he said, listing out the State government’s flagship welfare schemes across multiple domains covering all sections of society.
Mr. Vikramarka said the Congress has swept the first and second phases of gram panchayat elections with people of the State wholeheartedly blessing the welfare and development programmes initiated by the Indiramma people’s government.
In the Madhira constituency, out of 131 sarpanch posts, Congress-backed candidates won over 90 seats, creating a record, he said.
He called upon the newly elected sarpanches to strive with a resolute commitment for the all-round development of their villages with a thrust on agriculture, education, health and agro-based industries, among other key sectors.
