Mrunal Thakur, Adivi Sesh and Anurag Kashyap along with director Shaneil Deo, launched the Hindi trailer of their mass-appealing film, Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha in Mumbai. Interestingly, the film will release worldwide in Hindi and Telugu on Eid and Gudi Padwa next year, that is, March 19, 2026. The second part of the recently released surprise blockbuster, Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, also releases on the same day.

Adivi Sesh replied, “I am not nervous. I am nervous, wondering whether people would like Dacoit. Woh nervousness hoti hai na actor ko. We work hard and hope that we are able to impress the audience.”

Adivi Sesh added, “As for the clash, my whole life is about surprising the people. Just two years ago, the biggest directors and distributors used to tell me, ‘The theatre-going activity has stopped. People don’t watch films in cinemas’. But look what’s happening today with Dhurandhar and how it’s a juggernaut. So, I feel that when it can become a juggernaut, why shouldn’t we give a beautiful set of movie options during the holiday season? I mean, March 19 is when we’ll celebrate Eid, Ram Navami, Gudi Padwa and Ugadi. There are so many holidays. People are just done with their exams.”

He finally said, “Right now, Dhurandhar is the country’s biggest hit. I wish that Dhurandhar 2 should be the world’s biggest hit! I also hope that jin logon ko Dhurandhar 2 ka ticket na mile, woh log Dacoit dekhne aa jaayenge!”

Earlier, he spoke highly about Dhurandhar, “Aditya Dhar, the director of the film, is a good friend. I wondered, ‘I researched so much about 26/11 and the entire Black Tornado operation but to know the Pakistani side of things was a new experience even for me’. Hence, I thought it was an extraordinary film. It thoroughly deserves to be India’s biggest film at the moment.”
