U-19 Asia Cup 2025: What happens if the India vs Sri Lanka semifinal is washed out?

India is scheduled to meet Sri Lanka in the semifinal of the U-19 Asia Cup at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Friday, December 19.

However, severe rain in Dubai has resulted in both semifinals —which are scheduled to take place simultaneously — being delayed. The toss for both games was scheduled for 10 AM IST, but both have already been pushed back.

Pakistan and Bangladesh will play the other semifinal at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

There is no reserve day scheduled for the semifinals, with the higher-ranked team from the group stage set to go through should the match be rained out. For India, this would mean it progresses from its semifinal as the toppers of Group A.

India finished top of its group with Pakistan, UAE, and Malaysia with a perfect record of three wins from three matches.

This would set up a final between India and Bangladesh — table-topper of Group B — on Sunday, December 21 at the ICC Academy Ground.
