Sundaralingam Pradeep, Deputy Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, Government of Sri Lanka, met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday (December 19, 2025) and thanked him for providing assistance to those affected by Cyclone Ditwah in the island country.

Mr. Stalin had, on December 6, 2025, flagged off 950 tonnes of relief materials aboard two Indian Navy vessels from the Chennai and Thoothukudi ports to support people affected by the cyclone. Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, Ganesanathan Geethiswaran, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, and senior officials were among those present at the meeting.

Separately, office-bearers of various associations of persons with disabilities called on Mr. Stalin and thanked him for providing representation to persons with disabilities through nominations in local bodies.
