Chief Minister unveils Andhra Pradesh Legislative Secretariat’s 2026 calendar and diary

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday unveiled the 2026 calendar and diary brought out by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Secretariat. The wall calendar, table calendar and diary were released at the CM Camp Office in the presence of Assembly Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu said the 2026 calendar underlines the Assembly’s commitment to creating awareness on environmental conservation and wildlife protection. He said the initiative forms part of a wider effort by elected representatives to sensitise the public to the need for protecting nature and maintaining ecological balance.

Commending the design, Mr. Naidu said the calendar conveys a strong and timely message on environmental protection and wildlife conservation. He observed that it brings out the importance of preserving natural resources while also drawing attention to the effects of climate change. The calendar, he said, serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to safeguard biodiversity for future generations.

The calendar is themed ‘Biodiversity – Andhra Pradesh’s Living Heritage’ and presents artistic depictions of 12 wildlife species. These represent diverse ecosystems such as the Eastern Ghats, open grasslands, the Coringa mangrove forests and the long coastline along the Bay of Bengal.

Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and others were present.
