Rinku Singh scores 56-ball century for Uttar Pradesh vs Chandigarh in Vijay Hazare Trophy


Rinku Singh scored a 56-ball century for Uttar Pradesh against Chandigarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Rajkot on Friday.

Batting at No. 5, the Uttar Pradesh captain struck 10 fours and four sixes as he powered his side to 367 for 4 in 50 overs.

After Abhishek Goswami’s early dismissal, Aryan Juyal (134 off 118 balls) and Dhruv Jurel (67 off 57 balls) rebuilt with a measured 96-run partnership for the second wicket. Juyal then carried on the consolidation, adding 71 runs for the third wicket with Sameer Rizvi.

The innings shifted decisively after Rizvi’s dismissal. Rinku’s arrival injected momentum as he forged two key partnerships, first with Juyal (134 off 77 balls) and then with Prashant Veer (63 off 35 balls), lifting Uttar Pradesh to a formidable total.
