Vizag Airport records 81.52% punctuality of flights

The ‘On Time Performance’ (OTP) of flights landing and taking off from Visakhapatnam International Airport for the first 11 months of the calendar year is 81.52%. The OTP denotes the punctuality. The total delay per cent is 18.46, according to Rajendra Prasad Lanka, Officiating Airport Director and Joint GM.

In the domestic sector, IndiGo had the maximum number of flight movements (incoming and outgoing) of 13,550. It had an OTP of 83.98%. Air India operated 2,058 flights and had an OTP of 69.97%. Air India Express operated 2,970 flights and had an OTP of 78.79%. India One Air had total flight movements of 558 and an OTP of 90.86%.

In the international sector, Scoot (Vizag–Singapore) had 380 flight movements and an OTP of 67.63% and IndiGo (Vizag–Abu Dhabi) had 274 movements and an OTP of 77.74%. December is not taken into account as it is still ongoing, Mr. Rajendra Prasad added.
