The water level in Papanasam dam stood at 127.55 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 332.82 cusecs and a discharge of 800 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 108.04 feet (maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 165.48 cusecs and a discharge of 460 cusecs.

The rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Saturday are as follows (in mm): Servalar dam 3, Manjolai 2, Kakkachi 2, Nalumukku 3 and Oothu 2l.
