Producer Suraj Singh has been clear about the film’s creative positioning. According to him, what sets Rahu Ketu apart is its conscious effort to separate fantasy from mythology. The film does not lean on familiar gods, legends, or religious frameworks. Instead, it builds its own universe, driven by original ideas and imagination. This approach makes the story feel modern, accessible, and relevant to a wide audience, irrespective of age or belief systems.

“Rahu Ketu is a fantasy drama — inspired by ideas, not bound by mythology. We were very clear that we didn’t want to retell religious stories or rely on mythological references. The film uses fantasy to explore belief systems and human conflict in a way that feels contemporary, emotional, and universal,” he said. Singh further went on to add that the genre offered creative freedom rather than limitations. “Fantasy gives us the space to talk about fear, power, faith, and choice — but through characters and situations that audiences can emotionally relate to. At its heart, Rahu Ketu is a human story told through an imaginative lens,” he shared.

By reimagining how fantasy can function in Hindi cinema, Rahu Ketu wants to position itself as a story-first film rather than one driven by spectacle or symbolism. It is not about gods or religious allegory, but about ideas, imagination, and the complexities of the human condition.
