Ultraviolette bags $45 mn from Zoho and Ferrari-owner Exor’s Lingotto


Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Ultraviolette Automotive on Thursday, December 4, said it has raised $45 million as part of its ongoing Series E round.The latest funding has come from technology company Zoho Corporation and Lingotto, one of Europe’s largest investment management firms.
Ultraviolette said the continued traction in its Series E round reflects strong investor confidence in the company’s growth path and global ambitions.
The EV maker has been building out a design and technology-led portfolio with the F77 and its newly launched X-47.The company began selling the F77 model in the UK this year, expanding its presence to 12 countries.

“We are glad to announce our Series E investment from Zoho and Lingotto,” said Narayan Subramaniam, Co-Founder and CEO, Ultraviolette. “Lingotto’s legacy of backing iconic performance and mobility brands, combined with Zoho’s long-term commitment to cutting-edge Indian innovation, aligns with our mission to build category-defining electric mobility solutions for India and global markets.”

CTO and Co-Founder Niraj Rajmohan said the fresh capital will help the company scale faster. “With the ongoing Series E investments, we are doubling down on growth and expanding production to meet rising demand. Our focus remains on advancing breakthrough battery technology, enhancing performance and supporting upcoming product platforms. This investment accelerates our journey toward larger scale in India and international markets.”

Ultraviolette has also expanded its product lineup with the X-47 Crossover, which it calls the world’s first radar-integrated motorcycle.

The X-47 is priced at ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

At its core is UV HyperSense, a sixth-generation long-range radar system that integrates radar and camera intelligence. This makes the X-47 the first commercially launched motorcycle to offer both.

Built on the F77 platform but updated with a revised chassis and aluminium sub-frame, the X-47 sports a beak-style front fender, sculpted tank and raked tail section for a distinctive crossover profile.
