Tata Sierra launched at ₹11.49 lakh with three engine choices; deliveries January 2026
It features a full-width LED light bar at the front and rear, vertically stacked headlights, flush-type door handles, roof rails and alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 19 inches. A blacked-out rear section mimics the iconic look of the earlier Sierra. Six colour options are offered.
Inside, the Sierra uses recycled materials and introduces a triple-screen setup on top variants, consisting of a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.Features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker JBL system with Dolby Atmos, wireless charging, a head-up display and a powered tailgate.Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and Level 2+ ADAS functions. Tata expects the model to achieve a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
Three engine options are available at launch:
• 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol — 104hp, 145Nm; 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT
• 1.5L turbo-diesel — 116hp, 260Nm (MT) / 280Nm (AT); 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic
• 1.5L direct-injection turbo-petrol — 158hp, 255Nm; 6-speed automatic
All versions currently offer front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive confirmed for a later stage. The SUV will also be introduced in a fully electric version in the future.
The Tata Sierra competes with midsize SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Citroën C3 Aircross.
