Maruti Suzuki starts exporting Victoris as ‘Across’, over 450 SUVs shipped from two ports
Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi linked the exports to the company’s global strategy and said, “Maruti Suzuki’s export journey is guided by the vision of Make in India, Make for the World.”
He added that the company exported over 3.9 lakh vehicles in 2025. Maruti Suzuki said this made it India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. Takeuchi also noted the company’s return to Europe with the e Vitara electric vehicle.Takeuchi further said that industry-wide passenger vehicle exports grew 1.43 times between 2020 and 2025. He said Maruti Suzuki’s exports grew 4.67 times in the same period. He stated that Victoris would support future export volumes.
Maruti Suzuki launched Victoris in India in September 2025. The company said the SUV features a wraparound design and connected features aimed at young buyers. Victoris won the Indian Car of the Year 2026 award.
The model is offered in 21 variants and 10 colour options, including seven monotone and three dual-tone shades. Powertrain choices include Smart Hybrid petrol with 5MT and 6AT, Strong Hybrid with e-CVT, ALLGRIP Select 6AT, and S-CNG. Maruti Suzuki said it introduced an underbody CNG tank to preserve boot space.
