Recounting the Ladakh shoot for Battle Of Galwan, Vipin shared how extreme weather conditions posed serious challenges for the cast and crew. “There was severe flooding, red and orange alerts were issued, people were advised not to step out, and network connectivity was extremely poor,” he recalled, underlining the unpredictability and risk involved during the schedule.

What left a lasting impression on the actor was Lakhia’s sense of responsibility during such situations. Vipin revealed that instead of sending crew members ahead to assess the conditions, the director chose to go himself. “Apoorva sir didn’t send anyone first—he went himself to check the locations. He stayed there for over an hour and only then called the rest of the team once he was sure it was safe,” he said.

Vipin also reflected on a similarly challenging experience during the shoot of Crackdown, where night schedules in a jungle came with their own risks. “A tiger even entered the area twice,” he shared, emphasizing the dangers involved. Despite the circumstances, Lakhia remained composed and focused on the shoot.

One particular incident stood out for Vipin as a testament to the director’s commitment. “For one particular shot, Apoorva sir actually jumped from a flight with the camera himself because the DOP felt it was too risky,” he revealed, calling the moment both shocking and inspiring.

Describing Apoorva Lakhia as “fearless and fully committed,” Vipin believes that working under such leadership pushes actors to raise their own standards. With Battle Of Galwan, the actor feels he has not only reached an important career high but has also gained experiences that will continue to influence his growth as a performer in the years ahead.
