Star Plus is gearing up to add another intriguing title to its primetime fiction slate with the launch of Mr and Mrs Parshuram, a family drama layered with suspense and high-stakes intrigue. Headlined by Neil Bhatt and Shambhavi Singh, the show has already sparked curiosity, and the buzz intensified this Republic Day as Bhatt spoke about stepping into the role of a spy after previously portraying a police officer on television.

Speaking about his role, the actor said, “Happy Republic Day to everyone! Through the character of Parshuram, I portray a man whose strength lies in his unwavering sense of duty towards the nation. Having earlier worn the uniform as a police officer, and now stepping into the world of a spy, my belief in serving the country has only grown stronger.”

Elaborating further, Bhatt highlighted how deeply the role resonates with his personal values. “The Indian flag represents sacrifice, courage, and integrity values that Parshuram lives by and that I deeply believe in as a citizen. Every preparation, every performance is driven by pride in our nation and respect for its ideals. Jai Hind!”

Mr and Mrs Parshuram introduces viewers to Shivprasad and Shalini, a seemingly ordinary married couple raising two children and leading a modest, grounded life. To the outside world, Shivprasad appears to be a simple family man devoted to his wife and kids. However, beneath this calm exterior lies a startling secret that forms the core of the show’s narrative.

Neil Bhatt essays a dual role, portraying both Shivprasad and his alter ego Parshuram — a highly trained spy operating in secrecy and danger. The biggest challenge for Shivprasad is balancing these two contrasting worlds while ensuring they never collide. At home, he strives to be a dependable husband and father, while away from it all, he shoulders the weight of national duty.

Adding emotional depth to the story is Shalini, played by Shambhavi Singh, who remains completely unaware of her husband’s parallel life. Shivprasad’s decision to hide his true identity not just from society but from his wife creates a constant tension, setting the stage for emotional dilemmas and dramatic twists.

With its blend of domestic drama and espionage, Mr and Mrs Parshuram promises a fresh narrative for television audiences. The show is set to premiere on February 3 at 8:30 PM, exclusively on Star Plus.
