I don’t know if that’s politically correct to say but it’s true.” Bhumi described the on-set energy as unexpectedly light despite the intensity of the material. “They were playing such dark, intense parts, yet there was a lightness in the way they conducted themselves.”

She even noticed a choreography-like rhythm in their scenes. “There were moments where it almost felt choreographed, the way they were reacting to each other. They were so in sync.”

Producer Vikram Malhotra believes this balance is no accident. “The depth of talent in this country is enormous. It’s about writing the right roles and having the conviction to cast fresher talent in powerful parts.”

Bhumi went a step further, calling Daldal a turning point. “I’m excited for the world to see how they perceive both of them. I genuinely feel this is what they deserve this kind of writing, this kind of conviction.”
