Inside Deepflow Technologies

Deepflow Technologies

Kannur-based agritech startup Deepflow Technologies offers a unified platform that enables farmers and farmer collectives to manage multiple crops simultaneously, instead of building solutions around a single crop.

The startup uses AI and deeptech solutions to address critical issues faced by farmers in India. Its products are designed as an integrated agri-intelligence ecosystem that combines on-ground data collection with digital decision support for farmers, farmer collectives, enterprises, and institutional stakeholders.

Integrated intelligence:

  • Deepflow’s Augmented Weather Stations continuously capture parameters such as temperature and rainfall. This data is transmitted to the cloud and is combined with advanced weather models to generate hyperlocal forecasts and alerts.
  • Its Portable Soil Assessment Device enables quick, on-site assessment of key soil parameters, such as pH and moisture.
  • The startup has also developed the Krishi Bhavan platform—an end-to-end farm planning and implementation software for government departments, farmer-producer organisations, and extension agencies.

From engineering research and endurance sport to writing, entrepreneurship, theatre, and stand-up comedy, Anu Vaidyanathan has chosen to build her life with many acts.

Born in Delhi and raised in Bengaluru, Vaidyanathan grew up in a family that cut across regions, languages, and traditions. With relatives spread across the country, her childhood was shaped by constant exposure to different ways of living and thinking, paving the way for her journey ahead.

Her journey:

  • Feeling constrained by engineering, Vaidyanathan turned to sport. In 2009, she became the first Asian triathlete to conquer the Ultraman.
  • Her journey in sport led to her memoir Anywhere But Home: Adventure in Endurance—an intimate portrayal of a single woman navigating diverse challenges in India.
  • Eventually, she found her path to comedy. Her latest work, a stand-up show called Allegory, explores what she calls “the tales we tell ourselves to survive.”
